We know Grain Boundary Diffusion

According to the coercivity mechanism of sintered NdFeB permanent magnets, the reverse magnetization domain is first formed on the surface of the grain. Therefore, the surface of the grain is the weakest link in the magnet. Increasing the anisotropic field on the surface of the grain can delay the formation of the reverse magnetization domain. formed, thereby increasing the coercive force of the entire magnet. Grain boundary diffusion (GBD) is based on this principle and was proposed by Nakamura in 2005. It initially uses elements or compounds of heavy rare earth elements Tb and Dy as diffusing agents. Through diffusion heat treatment, the heavy rare earths enter the interior of the magnet from the surface of the magnet along the grain boundaries, and are distributed on the grain boundaries and grain surfaces to improve the coercive force of NdFeB magnets. . Today, we provide grain boundary diffusion sources to sintered NdFeB manufacturers to meet customer requirements for magnetic material coercivity and other properties.
